Progress
Steady progress has continued throughout the past month at Kemley House, with works focusing on the installation of the Hilti façade fixing system to Elevation 3A. This forms an important part of the remediation works, providing the necessary structural fixings to support the new external wall system and ensuring the façade meets the required performance and safety standards.
There has also been an additional mast climber installed to Elevation 6 (above the rear car park entrance).
Key Milestones
The project continues to progress well, with key activities being completed in line with the construction programme. We remain focused on maintaining momentum across all work areas while minimising disruption to residents wherever possible.
By the end of this month (July) all existing cladding should have been removed and the first of the mast climbers being removed.
Upcoming Works
Over the coming month, the team will continue progressing the external remediation works across the building. Subject to favourable weather conditions and programme progress, we are aiming to complete works to Elevation 5 by the end of the month.
As work continues, residents may notice increased activity around the scaffold as materials are installed and finishing works are carried out.
Potential Disruption
To allow the works to be completed safely, some designated fire exits may be temporarily unavailable during normal working hours. These temporary restrictions will be carefully managed by the site team and will not affect the building’s emergency evacuation arrangements. In the event of a fire or other emergency, all fire exits will remain fully available for use.
Residents may also experience occasional construction noise from power tools, deliveries and general site activities while the works are in progress. Our team will continue to make every effort to minimise disruption wherever reasonably practicable.
We appreciate that carrying out essential remediation works to an occupied building can be inconvenient at times and would like to thank all residents for their continued patience, understanding and cooperation. Your support is greatly appreciated as we work towards delivering a safer and fully remediated building.
Kind regards,
The HRS Cladding Team
