We would like to provide residents with the latest update regarding the ongoing cladding remediation works at Kemley House. Progress has continued steadily throughout the past month, with works advancing across multiple elevations as the project moves into the next phase of installation and finishing works.
Progress Update
During this period, works have commenced to the 3B area located above the bin store, with remediation activities now progressing within this section of the building.
Good progress has also been achieved to Elevations 3 (Prospect Street) and 5 (Spencer Street), where the new cladding panels have now been installed up to parapet top level. A small number of outstanding panels remain pending delivery and will be installed once materials arrive on site.
At Elevation 4, the existing cladding system has now been removed and installation of the Y-wall system has been completed. Works within this area are currently awaiting final design decisions relating to the Juliet balconies before the next stage of installation can proceed.
Key Milestones
The project team is currently focused on completing the main installation works to:
- Elevation 3
- Elevation 5
These areas are now approaching the finishing stages, subject to the completion of outstanding panel deliveries and associated detail works.
Upcoming Works
Over the coming month, planned activities will include:
- Installation works to windows and doors on Elevation 4
- Completion of remaining works to Elevations 3 and 5
- Continued works to the bin store area and recessed section of Elevation 3
- Installation of outstanding cladding panels once delivered to site
The site team will continue to sequence works carefully to maintain safe access and minimise disruption wherever possible.
Potential Disruption
Residents may experience occasional increases in noise levels, particularly around the Elevation 3 bin store area and the recessed sections where works are continuing.
Material deliveries will also continue throughout the week as part of the ongoing programme. Wherever possible, deliveries are planned to avoid peak periods and busy resident access times, including morning commuting hours.
We appreciate residents’ continued patience and cooperation while these important improvement works are carried out.
Kind regards,
The HRS Cladding Team
