Project Overview

HRS has been appointed as principal contractor to deliver cladding remediation works at the City Edge apartment building in Manchester. The project involves comprehensive improvements to all elevations, enhancing both the safety and long-term performance of the building.

Following a detailed fire safety assessment, improvements to cavity barriers and internal compartmentation were identified as essential to meet current standards. In collaboration with Block Living, DTM Consulting, and our specialist supply chain, we are delivering a full upgrade to the building envelope in line with all relevant fire safety and building regulations.

The fact that City Edge will remain fully occupied whilst work is carried out remains at the forefront of everything we do and minimising disruption is central to our approach. Careful planning and clear communication will underpin the works, with robust measures in place to ensure residents’ safety and comfort throughout.

The new brick façade has been designed to closely reflect the existing appearance, preserving the character of the building while introducing high-quality materials that provide a clean, modern finish.
